Sculpture involves the three-dimensional work with a variety of materials: wood, stone, metal, clay, plaster, paper, ice, etc.
During the work on the material manual skills and creative processes are merging into one another.
I mainly practice my sculpture in stone.
Each piece of stone has its own characteristics and character.
Sometimes the material is brittle, sometimes tough, sometimes obedient, sometimes unruly.
But it always requires cautiousness and perseverance to form a piece of stone.
It is a very slow, meditative process, piece by piece, removing material.
In the end, surface and shape remain.
