Sculpture, and especially working in stone, is a very fulfilling and special experience.
When you have finished a sculpture you know what you have done and you have created a lasting work.

In my classes, I teach my students the "how" in a very individual way.
This means that I leave a lot of freedom concerning the processing of the workpieces.
There is not ONE way and not every working method is equally suitable for every sculptor.
In the beginning, stone carving often presents itself as an "active engagement" with the stone.
Until you find ways to remove the material in a more meditative way.
Patience and perseverance always lead to the stone taking shape.

If you've never worked with stone before, then a beginner's course is just the way to start.
You will be amazed at what you are capable of accomplishing.
I give you all the basics and leave you the freedom to discover your own personal way of sculpting.
It is never about performance, but purely for the pleasure of doing.
By completing the beginner course you will be able to create a sculpture completely independently.

If you have already gained experience working on the stone, then I will show you the handling of hand machines and further working methods, e.g. in surface finish.
During the courses, I always help the students, so I limit the number of participants accordingly.
The course fee includes use of tools, protective equipment, equipment and a lunch.

In Germany, the courses take place at my studio in Southwestern Germany in Rheinfelden-Minseln

The courses in Corfu / Greece I perform in the North of the island, in the beautiful coastal resort Acharavi
